Kundiman South is hosting a free virtual workshop with Jennifer Chang on December 7th at 2:00 PM CT, 3:00 PM ET.
Upon the discovery of her vocation, Etel Adnan decided that “poetry was the purpose of life, poetry as a counter-profession, as an expression of personal and mental freedom, as perpetual rebellion.” The objective of this generative workshop is to explore how we can cultivate a perpetual rebellion within our practice. To that end, we will consider rebellion through close reading, the interrogation of form, and individual subjectivity. Rebellion is an action, but it may also be the lens through which we place ourselves and our work in the world. We will read a poem, draft new work, and experiment with revision. Please bring a draft of something that you’re struggling with. This workshop is for poets and prose writers.
Join this workshop via Zoom here.
