A Sense of Community

Dear Friend,

For a year now, as Executive Board President, I’ve watched Kundiman Staff put together amazing programming for Asian American writers. My respect and admiration for their work was already high after I attended my first Retreat as a Fellow, and it deepens as I get to work more closely with them. I know how important these spaces and financial accessibility are for Asian American writers. That’s why, for our final fundraising campaign of 2025, we’re raising funds to provide our community with continued programming.

Connecting with others through Kundiman was how I discovered my place in the literary landscape—I’ve found close friendships and reading/writing partners through a shared sense of community, responsibility towards one another, and a love for the craft of writing that is liberatory and expansive.

We are 64% of the way to our End of Year goal. Help us build for thousands in 2026 through our Readings and Panels, Online Classes, Regional Groups, and Retreat by donating.

Nourish Literary Connections

In this time of uncertainty, we strive to continue building a place for Asian American writers to return to and find solace. Thank you for joining us in this work. I credit so much of my growth as an artist and person to Kundiman and know that it will continue to be a positive force in literature and beyond.

Warmly,

Rana Tahir
