This year, we’ve felt the profound impact of community at the annual Asian American Caucus; at the New Books Reading with NYU, featuring Sarah Aziza, Megan Pinto, and Katie Yee; at Regional Group gatherings across the country and internationally; and in online classes. A recent scholarship recipient who attended ‘School of the Asian Avant-Garde with Kiran Bath’ stated, "The craft class introduced me to writers and ideas I had not heard of before, welcomed me into a community of Asian writers, and helped me generate new writing that I am proud of and will continue to work on."

This work is ongoing.

Next month, the Kundiman South Regional Group will present a free virtual workshop ‘Poetry As Perpetual Rebellion’ with Jennifer Chang. On December 10th, Kundiman will host a free publishing panel — featuring agents and editors Neela Banerjee, Marie Pantojan, Anjali Singh, and Mimi Wong — to support Asian American writers on the road to publication. On December 15th, the Kundiman Southwest Regional Group will hold a virtual reading and conversation with Omar El Akkad. Lastly, on December 17th, we'll be at Liz's Book Bar in Brooklyn for a Holiday Salon featuring Asha Thanki.

We need your help to ensure our programming can flourish into 2026, despite the recent cuts in arts funding. Donations are the most direct way to support Kundiman.
